Having a safe landing for our horses is a priority. Most CFERD horses are available for adoption in some capacity (as a riding horse or as a companion horse only), while others may be sanctuary horses who will live their lives out at our rescue. Sponsorship is available for any horse in CFERD’s care but once a sponsored horse is adopted, sponsorship will be transferred to another horse in need.

His adopter was concerned that they could not care for him appropriately during his recovery, so he was boarded at SpeakeEasy Stables for his recovery. Junior was on stall rest for many, many months. One day, his adopter decided to take him out of his stall to graze and by doing so, all healing efforts to date were undone. This made him permanently unrideable.
